Paris label Abîme confronts the fear of void with its Vertige compilation & Chams’ all-encompassing anthem ‘Tout en chacun’

Paris’ Abîme is releasing compilation EP Vertige on June 14, with a preview of Chams‘ ‘Tout en chacun’ premiering on AQNB today. The French producer dropped another EP on the same label called Lettre D’Amort in 2017, which was an atmospheric reflection on his childhood growing up in the Alps.

It makes sense then that Chams should join Nunu, Ytem, Ptwiggs and Flagalova in the Vertige track listing, given its title taken from the French word for ‘vertigo’, often associated with, but not necessarily related to being afraid of heights. Drawn under the umbrella theme of “the eternal war between fear of void and love”, ‘Tout en chacun’ (translating to ‘Everything in everyone’ in English) floats on a euphoric build-up that pops over bubblegum beats and a femme vocal that flies.**
