nunu is releasing EP 1771 on Abîme on November 13, with the title track premiering via AQNB today. The club stalwart’s record debut follows their contribution to the Paris-based label’s 2019 compilation Vertige

Departing from the strident post-club of their 2018 EP SCUM on Astral Plane Recordings, nunu’s track ‘1771’ assumes a more forlorn form. Synthesized harpsichords spiral between percussive cameos before culminating into full-blown melodies, evoking the tumbling sonic of NGUZUNGUZU’s 2011 EP Timesup. Eventually, the artist’s signature drum rolls wither away into a haze of textured sample effects.**
