The Cipher compilation album is being released via London’s C.A.N.V.A.S. on February 22, with an exclusive stream premiering on AQNB today. The label and artist platform began as an event series in 2014, which was founded by Olan Monk and Lugh, and works with a dispersed network of international artists.

Nine artists — including Ben Vince, Flora Yin-Wong, Michael Speers, and object blue —  were asked to respond to three sub-themes relating a specific task outlined by C.A.N.V.A.S. around the “different processes by which musical material is abstracted and codified.” The outcome is a delicate selection of distinct though coherent tracks that span the marching polyrhythms of Ausschuss‘ ‘Frontier Control’, Ashley Paul‘s bleary-eyed anti-folk in ‘Sleep Walker’, Xao’s chaotic sample noise on ‘Quintal’ and more.**

Cipher compilation album is out via C.A.N.V.A.S. on February 22 followed by a launch event at London’s Cafe Oto on March 13, 2019.
