We registered on MOG like months ago and never used it. Why? Because we’re mostly Europeans so basically their “All Access” is yet not available here and on the other side we had a pretty good alternative: Spotify. Now they’ve just launched (finally) their mobile app…
Something that would come to cause some real pain to Spotify as the offer is basically the same (“all you can eat” for $10) & Rdio (the third attractive alternative neither available in Europe), but again each service & apps have its own market and here in the old continent we can’t really experience the always refreshing experience MOG presents.
As you know MOG has been from the start a more socially-oriented music service than Spotify (which evolved a couple of months ago with Facebook integration), including a more engaging experience accessible via browser (no need to download any programs), although in the end both offer a very similar music catalogue (around 8 million songs each).
When will we see each service at the other side of the Atlantic? … only the founders know (or maybe not) but looks like Spotify is always a step ahead when it comes to close deals
