Dasychira and Embaci‘s Seasons in a Quasar “dynamic online video show” was presented as part of Issue Project Room and Abrons Arts Center’s ISSUE program on January 28. It included Safra Tadesse‘s ‘Garden Of Earthly Delights’ performance piece, released via New York’s unseelie and premiering on AQNB today.

Edited by Felix B. Abeson, the video features the Baltimore-based “multimedia experimental art generator”, curator and activist performing outside to the soundtrack of Dasychira’s Slagwerk-commissioned track of the same name. Here, the latter Amsterdam-based producer’s segue into employing more vocals and lyrics, in what they call a “mirror portal” of exploration, supports Tadesse’s meditative and transcendental dance. As described by the artist themself, the work represents “the force that ushers the rebirth energy that takes hold as we transition from winter to spring.”**
