Spectral objects & eerie void in a disused record pressing plant with Hyperlink’s Silent Machines film project

Silent Machines, a film project by Hyperlink, Athens featuring Paul Barsch and Tilman Hornig, MRZB, Alexandra Koumantaki, Emmy Skensved and Yannis Voulgaris, premiered online on April 6.

With sculptural installations set across a dilapidated former Columbia Records pressing plant, the film creates an eerie staging of an art show void of its makers and full of haunted objects. The works are activated in the film by Georgios Karamanolakis’ spectral score and subtitled poem, voicing evocations such as: “A vision of void comforts, It sleeps in empty units”.**
