A Selene Blues, a solo exhibition by Giulia Essyad at Fribourg’s Fri Art Kunsthalle, runs December 11 to February 21 (now closed due to coronavirus restrictions).

With the gallery space replicating a cinema lobby featuring posters and ephemera from an imagined epic fantasy film, the show is a window into the speculative futurism of the artist. As stated in the press release, “advertising sets, merchandising and relics break down the barriers between entertainment, ecofeminist science fiction and institutional criticism.”**
