Dengue Dengue Dengue is releasing EP Fiebre via Mexico City’s NAAFI on October 16, with preview track ‘Menestra’ premiering on AQNB today. Since releasing their first cumbia and bass music offering on the Auxiliar label in 2012, the Peruvian born, Berlin-based duo has consistently dropped records on famed Portugese progressive kuduro outfit Buraka Som Sistema’s Enchufada label.

Fiebre will be the first Dengue Dengue Dengue release on NAAFI, where the producers marry their Afro-Peruvian beats, Andean cadence and Colombian cumbia with the global post-club label’s own penchant for hybrid Latin American dance. ‘Menestra’ is one of the more acutely alloyed combinations of traditional sounds with the muggy high-definition of contemporary electronics. A repetitive drum triplet leads into a deep, polyrhythmic groove of varying styles that together weave seamlessly into a cosmopolitan compound of musical aesthetics.**

Dengue Dengue Dengue’s Fiebre EP is out via Mexico City’s NAAFI on October 16, 2020.
