Sun Angels are releasing EP Hemma via London’s Lyxliv on September 5, with preview track ‘Elefant’ premiering on AQNB today. The London-based Swedish “independent global advisory group” has a number of EPs and singles out on New York label Cascine, channeling vaporwave and hypnagogic pop in their sideways take on commercial trance.

This latest record sees the project develop a kind of hyperreal europop and electrofolk, with tracks like ‘Pregnant Glow‘ and ‘Styrka‘ featuring euphoric build ups and New Age nature sampling. ‘Elefant’, meanwhile, bubbles over effervescent synth lines that rush through wavy choral patches, gasps and orchestral sampling before launching into a thumping distorted drum beat and trumpeting saws about to burst.**

Sun Angels’ Hemma EP is out via London’s Lyxliv on September 5, 2019.
