Manipulation + abundance in the individual filtration systems of Investment, Casting group show at LA’s in lieu

The Investment, Casting group exhibition at Los Angeles’ in lieu opened on August 26 and is running to September 30.

Organized by Bryce Grates, the show brings together work that “critiques, manipulates, and reworks popular culture and media through the artist’s individual lens” and features work by Jacob Ciocci, Maggie Lee, Marc Matchak, Morgan Canavan, Olivia Burr and R. Lord.  

From paintings of cows, pigs and landscapes to miniature dolls and ballet shoes filled with dirt, the multimedia installation responds to online saturation, abundance and individual filtration systems, where trends and symbols become highly specific and hold particular meaning for different people.**

The Investment, Casting group exhibition js on at Los Angeles’ in lieu, running August 26 to September 30, 2017.
