Jakub Jansa‘s Club of Opportunities solo exhibition at a Bowling Club in Prague took place on July 29.

Curated by Jan Vitek and part of an ongoing project that sees short-term shows happening in various places, the evening brought together some of Jansa’s recent multimedia works, including video, an audio guided tour and sculptures. There were also performances by contributors the artist refers to as ‘heroes,’ including philosopher Kamil Nábelek — who gave a lecture on the Ontology of Celery — and Michal Šupák — who performed a live piano rendition of Rihanna’s ‘We Found Love.’
With an accompanying text by Christina Gigliotti, the show invites the audience into a “temporary new world in the middle of your brain,” where “earthly laws don’t apply” and a time warp moves you outside of your comfort zone.**
