The Peachtree Industrial group exhibition is on at New York’s Bodega, opening June 24 and running to August 7.

Curated by Erin Jane Nelson and Jason Benson of Atlanta-based gallery Species, the show presents work from artists based outside of New York —Oakland, California, and Atlanta, Georgia —including Bessie Harvey, Jane Fox Hipple, Chloé Elizabeth Maratta, Josh Minkus, Jiha Moon, Saige Rowe and Lily van der Stokker.

The curatorial duo describe the selection —which includes the likes of self-taught pioneer Harvey and Odwalla88 band member Maratta —as an “anti-logical proposal for living outside of the center of it all: a little pastoral, a little informatic, quietly wild but sweet.”

The seven artists and their presenters were met outside of NYC, where life moves at a slower pace, on less familiar trajectories, allowing for an exhibition “linked in a shared commitment to the private civic lives where their work and world-making takes form.”
