Finnish artist Jaakko Pallasvuo‘s work is the kind that will make you cry. Giving audio visual expression to the intersection of art, critical theory and writing, a path forged by Chris Kraus before him, Pallasvou’s videos make the kind of self-reflexive, hyperanalytical statements that can paralyse artists into despondency but he’s managed to make something constructive and quite brilliant from it.
