Trying to cover every country’s short film festivals is very unlikely to happen for us… any day soon, but if at least we hear about them, then we can share them. Last week Tropfest 2011 (who claim to be world largest short film festival) took place in Australia…

And as you’ve probably guessed the finalists & winner’s videos are available on-line…. This year Mr Damon Gameau (writer & director of this great viral piece) won the 1st prize, but if you have a minute, two or twenty, then we highly recommend you to watch the rest of the awarded shorts & finalists (maybe not so viral but equally original). Good stuff.

Some of the finalists should seriously have won… the rest of the videos on their youtube channel.
