Ahhh London, always renewing your attractive but not beautiful face every year but without loosing your Victorian flamboyant spirit. And for those of you coming to the capital for the first time or even if you’ve lived here all your —- life, you may want to use this app….

Combining art and photography from the streets of London the Museum of London released this app (developped by Brothers & Sisters) last September on the iTunes store. Hundreds of images from the Museum of London’s extensive collections showcase both everyday and momentous occasions in London’s history, from the Great Fire of 1666 to the swinging sixties.

The app won the interactive Epica d’Or at this year’s Epica Awards. “Of course with thousands of years of turbulent history, London has changed many times so some streets or buildings may not exist today. Where precise locations aren’t available, relish the challenge of identifying recognisable landmarks which may offer you clues as to the current day site”.

The app as we were saying before comes only this next decade at the amazing price of £0, until Apple finds a new business model and apps die. So in the meanwhile enjoy it downloading it from the app store.
