Rennes is bursting with street art & street performances all year through… there may be too many? Naaaa, all these sorts of public art & public manifestations have transformed the capital of Brittany into one of the most tolerant cities to any kind of public disorder…
The thing is that the local government encourages the creation of art collectives, festivals & biennales very actively (Brittany has traditionally being a left-wing area & Rennes in particular a student city); nearly every citizen is involved in some artistic activity… directly or indirectly.
