Banned images re-birth in Olga Mikh Fedorova’s online project Blocked Art

, 26 June 2017

The Blocked Art online exhibition was launched on May 22 and will be ongoing.

I asked my Facebook friends to send me art images which were banned in social media. I created an environment to give a second life to these images. No selection was made.  All images were accepted” said curator Olga Mikh Fedorova who put the project together.

The online show takes you by the hand, and guides you around the simulated space, moving between ‘rooms’ and artworks that fade in and out through decaying animations and against the backdrop of a glitchy, flittering sound piece. The exhibition includes works by Monia Ben Hamouda, Craig Blackmoore, Jakub Ceglarz, Olga Fedorova, Michele Gabriele, Subtle Graces, Maria Jose Alos, Erica Lapadat Janzen, Martina Menegon, Vladimir Mogilevskiy, Sholim Rajovic, Zoe Stawska, Franziska Von Guten, Robert William and sound by Raum.**
