SAÚVA-ADA, a solo exhibition by Romain Vicari, was on at Dijon’s CHIFFONNIER, running January 21 to February 24.
With resin, glass and metal works creating synthetic yet lifelike interventions, along with a title that references Amazonian Saúva ants and the Cardano ADA cryptocurrency, Vicari alludes to our post-industrial environment and digital dependency. As noted in Sandra Barré’s exhibition text: “divided between a real desire to reconnect with nature and the observation of a permanent technological growth, the forms that emerge from the artist’s works could represent contemporary divinities.”**
