EX-SANGUIS, a solo exhibition by Juliette Feck curated by Léo Fourdrinier, is on at Toulon’s axolotl gallery, running July 9 to September 3.
With sculpture, illustration and photography, the work takes inspiration from recent news of a she-wolf hanged in the Hautes-Alpes, bringing to mind the violent eeriness of folk horror. As noted in the press release, the artist “presents the animal figure as a committed social metaphor, in the face of the impunity granted to violence perpetrated by a patriarchal society.”**
