A TIRED DOG IS A GOOD DOG, PART ONE, a solo exhibition by Matthew Lax, was on at Chicago’s table, running April 29 to July 2.

With an experimental film and mixed media works, the artist works with his Collie-breeding parents, dog trainers, as well as members of the puppy play kink community, to explore notions kinship, discipline and survival. As noted in the press text: “Lax explores the rituals by which humans tame and use animals to mitigate disaster and themselves.”**
