The Spirit of Capital, a solo exhibition by Bronte Stolz was on at Melbourne’s TCB Gallery, running March 16 to April 3.

With sculptures made from recycled bank notes, oil, lignite coal and polymer, Stolz’s pieces create stark representations of peace doves, a cartoonish screaming mouth, and a likeness of the Twin Towers. With this mutated iconography set against the gallery’s graffiti covered windows, the show talks to themes of time and history, replication and media events.**
