Voyeurism, image mediation & the psychological state of the silver screen in the Pull-back Dolly! group show

Pull-back Dolly!, a group exhibition curated by Danielle Neu, is on at 1860 N. Wilton Place, Los Angeles, running July 10 to August 15.

Drawing its title from the classic Hollywood camera technique, the show features artists including Flannery Silva, Megan Plunkett and V.Vale, responding to postmodern discussions of image mediation and the voyeurism of the camera. As stated in the exhibition press release: “Déjà-vous abounds, ‘have I seen this before?’, but refraction is different than reflection.”**
