Active Cycles Of Constant Expansion, a solo exhibition by Facundo Jesus Lugea, was on at Los Angeles’ Night Time Story, running May 1 to June 3.
With sculptures mixing worn out clothing, chains, barbed wire and flowers, the show presents contemporary still life assemblages that puncture the visual silence of the exhibition space. As the press release notes, the show reflects on “that intermediate point between the end of something and the beginning of another, such as an inapparent connection between the continuity of things.”**
