Brodinski and Sébastien Forrester are releasing EP Swap 1 via Broyal and Afraa on July 16, with preview track ‘MMB’ premiering on AQNB today. Created during the first lockdown in Paris, the record combines Brodinski’s notorious techno-rap productions with Forrester’s percussive club that draws from various African polyrhythms.

‘MMB’ opens ominously, with a mechanic-sounding drum line rolling into thunderous trap rhythms that recall Brodinski’s recent discography with rapper Reddo and producer Modulaw. Although there are no vocalists on this track or record, Forrester’s club-infused textures create notable distinctions. The relentless rhythms— also heard on the artist’s tracks like ‘Spiral Line’— build the composition’s perspective on a hybrid club made for moving the dancefloor.**
