BATEARS, an exhibition by Martin Kohout in collaboration with Adrienne Herr, was on at Vienna’s EXILE, running October 22 to December 19.

With sculpture, video and an accompanying text by Herr, the exhibition is a dreamlike display of animal imaginaries and visual plays. The mood of the show is evoked in Herr’s surreal text, written as diary entries from the perspective of a bat: “I had a dream where I was behind glass, flying and flying along with the rest of the warnings. Monk, Anthropomorph, Dog, Harpy, Devil, and Plant monster were all there.”**
