Weird narratives & fantastical interventions in the abandoned military structures & forest surrounds of Christian Thomsen’s offsite show

Bird Song, a solo show by Christian Thomsen, is the third episode of Dharma Initiatives‘ curated series of offsite exhibitions, showing online since June 6.

With fantastical interventions of sculpture, painting and installations, Thompsen’s work creates weird narratives among abandoned military structures in the forest surrounds of Vogelsang, Germany. As evoked in a poem accompanying the show written by Dharma Initiatives: “forgotten bells sounding, their origin or corporeality impossible to pinpoint and further concealed by the piercing notes made by the hidden birds.”**

Christian Thomsen’s Bird Song, the third episode of Dharma Initiatives’ curated series of offsite exhibitions, is showing online since June 6, 2020.
