BAITBALL (01) “I’ll slip an extra shrimp on the barbie for you”, a group exhibition collectively curated by 16 galleries and independent curators was on at Palazzo San Giuseppe, Polignano a Mare, running January 5 to 29 February.

Named after the defence mechanism of small fish swarming together in a close spherical formation, the show is organised by over a dozen initiatives and curators. These included Catbox Contemporary, Like A Little Disaster, Harlesden High Street, Rhizome Parking Garage, Ultrastudio, and more.
Set in the sprawling spaces of the Palazzo San Giuseppe, BAITBALL (01) is an experiment in self-organisation and collective meaning making, with over 100 artists such. Monia Ben Hamouda, Guendalina Cerruti, Vitaly Bezpalov, Clementine Edwards, Joey Holder, Emma Pryde, Botond Keresztesi, and many others are among them. The exhibition is inspired by the ocean phenomena of its namesake, which “follows the same natural, mutualistic and universal mechanism to create a hybrid subject/object, a collective dimension.”**
