Minais B (aka Villads Klint) is releasing LP Quiet Bloom via Copenhagen’s Anyines on April 24, with a video for ‘Weaver’ premiering on AQNB today. This is the second solo LP by the Danish producer dropped on the label, who is also a member of the Posh Isolation-affiliated experimental bass trio KhalilH2OP.

This record is a solemn tribute to the grief suffered after losing a loved one, explored across melancholic combinations of digital synths and analogue organs, and inspired by Danish hymn. Tracks like ‘Ceremony’, ‘Spirit of Miiyo’ and ‘Little Sun’ falter, breath and choke over ambient electronics that evoke a sense of ‘not-okay-okay-ness’, while the music video to accompany ‘Weaver’ extends this sense of introspection. It applies a 360-capture ‘tiny planet’ technique to GoPro footage of Klint walking through fields and seashores, encased by the rumbling square waves and sustained chords of his own private grief.**

Minais B’s Quiet Bloom LP is out via Copenhagen’s Anyines on April 24, 2020.
