Room for Living, a solo exhibition Jacolby Satterwhite was on at The Fabric Workshop and Museum, Philadelphia, running September 13 to January 19.
Realised during an artist residency at the museum, imagery from Satterwhite’s digital animation practice was materialised using digital fabrication such as 3D printing, creating an immersive landscape from Satterwhite’s mix of pop culture, dance, queer futurism, and personal family history. As stated by the press release, in the artist’s work “neither time, space, scale, nor societal normativity limit the expression of his characters or architecture.”**
