Bby Eco has the environment on the brain with this otherworldly sound of the Earth if it were synthesised into a soundtrack

Bby Eco is releasing EP Ecodrome via Amsterdam’s SYMBYOSYS on October 31, with its title track premiering on AQNB today. The Amsterdam-based producer and label founder combines a clean low-end with the creepy-chirpy sound objects reminiscent of a hypnagogic pop pioneered by the likes of Oneohtrix Point Never and James Ferraro.

The record features four tracks with titles like ‘Dream Sequence’, ‘Restless Aquatic’ and ‘Cloud Cover’, exploring ecological art-making in a digitized world through ambient music that blurs the organic/inorganic divide. ‘Ecodrome’ floats through a misty vaporwave soundscape that’s led by a bubbly rhythm and breathy chorale organ line that pops in what sounds like nature herself, synthesized.**
