GIL (aka Gil Schneider) is releasing EP Infolding via Switzerland’s Danse Noire on July 12, with preview track ‘Dustgreen’ premiering on AQNB today. The Berlin-based producer and DJ released another EP called Orchids & Wasps on the Aïsha Devi-founded label in 2016, as well as a track on Stockholm/Zürich’s Country Music last year.

This record more generally follows Schneider’s penchant for the loud and overwhelming assaults of beat-driven power noise in track’s like ‘Compact Renewal’ and ‘Swallow Ash’, built on his background in dance and classical music. ‘Dustgreen’ is the more meditative of the lot, where the aimless ebb of a uniquely dreamy synth line plays over the crackle and rumble of an underlying transmission, concealing a peculiar feeling of mournful foreboding.**
