Tea and Marta Stražičić‘s Schwestern Sisters collective’s Dance with the devil group exhibition, in collaboration with the artistic duo Ittah Yoda (Virgile Ittah and Kai Yoda), was on at Zagreb’s Galerija Močvara between March 1 to 8.
Curated by Lovro Japundzic, Sculptural elements of bones, crude tools in an icy-white gallery space accompany a video work and game with an engaging sense of dystopian escapism. Behind the sheen of the user interface and display—where a demon-like character glides around a post-apocalyptic landscape collecting tokens—lies an uncomfortably hopeless tedium. The show alludes to impending social and environmental collapse with both fear and intrigue.**
