The Future Eaters group show at Melbourne’s MUMA responds to the changing medium of sculpture in relation to virtual reality

The Future Eaters group exhibition on at Melbourne’s Monash University Museum of Art (MUMA), opened July 22 and is running to September 23.

Curated by Charlotte Day, the show includes work by Aleksandra Domanović, Hany Armanious, Benjamin Armstrong, Damiano Bertoli, Nina Cannell, Marley Dawson, Hannah Donnelly, Alex Dordoy, Lewis Fidock & Joshua Petherick, Mira Gojak, Guan Xiao, Yngve Holen, Alex Israel, Magali Reus, Anna Uddenberg and Anicka Yi

The exhibition is an installation of sculptural works that reflect on the changing medium in relation to technology and asks, “how might the sculpture of our time appear to viewers in the future?” Responding to these changing times, the artists look explore their works materially in relation in to virtual reality.**

The Future Eaters group exhibition is on at Melbourne’s MUMA, running July 22 to September 23, 2017.
