Winnie Herbstein and Sofia Duchovny presented two-person exhibition Bit Between Teeth at Leipzig’s Sattler Pötzsch, which ran from March 19 until April 17, 2016.
The installation, made up of an HD video, digital prints and polyester and fiberglass sculptures, explored the fragile gap between eroticism and discomfort. The tent structures are placed precariously around the space, some corresponding with the room, others feel alien in some way. Herbstein’s video ‘Screw us and we multiply’ provided a written narrative along with still images and acted as a prologue to the exhibition.**
