Anastasios Logothetis is presenting solo exhibition Athenian Bastards at Stockholm’s Liljevalchs Hubb, opening September 10 running through September 30.

A site-specific installation combined with architectural elements are placeholders for the artist’s memories from his youth. The installation is made so that it is impossible to transport without destroying it, perhaps a metaphor for memory.

Logothetis recalls his recollections from Athens as “times of excessive travel and documentation” and proposes the exhibition “could be a prototype for a future”. One where “our interaction with our memories of past environments must change”. The exhibition text, while poetic, refers to “Instagrammable moments” and other notions of documentation. Particularly how they “elongate our mental experience of fleeting moments”.
