Andy Holden and Steve Roggenbuck are presenting WHEN U INSTAGRAM MY DEAD BODY, USE WALDEN BUT TAG IT #NOFILTER at London’s Rowing, opening September 2 and running to November 5.
Both artists work across a variety of media, the press release has left it unclear as to what to expect, however, whoever is familiar with these artists’ work can guess it will be existentially playful and humorous in their approach to the topic of mortality and being alive.
Holden, a musician and artist based in Bedford, UK, first collaborated with Roggenbuck, a poet and video artist based in Tucson, USA, at a reading event The Dan Cox Library for the Unfinished Concept of Thingly Time (2016) at Wysing Art Centre. The two will also be performing with Bedford-based band The Grubby Mitts in an evening of readings, films, comedy and stage performance hosted by the Whitechapel Gallery on Sept 3 (2016).
See the Rowing website for details.**
