Returning to the 24-hour format of the inaugural Interview Marathon in 2006, the Transformation Marathon takes over the Serpentine Sackler Gallery from 10am to 10pm on October 17 and continues from midnight until noon on October 18 on the first-ever Serpentine Radio broadcast.
The Serpentine Marathon series celebrates its tenth anniversary this year with Transformation Marathon, inviting various artists, writers, musicians, architects, sociologists, anthropologists, scientists and philosophers to address what the press release refers to as “cultural, political and physical shifts”.
Participants on stage and air include: Sophia Al-Maria, Elysia Crampton with ‘March 5th Facebook Post’, Andrea Crespo with ‘Polymorphoses (epilogue)’, Nkisi with ‘Occult Instability’, Samson Kambalu, Jaakko Pallasvuo and Roy Boswell with ‘The Hunchback of South Bermondsey’, Rachel Rose in conversation with Hans Ulrich Obrist, Julia Tcharfas and Holly White with ‘Interspecies Communication’, Steven Warwick (Heatsick) with an exclusive mix of new works, and many more.
