news

The Berlin feminist collective FEM COVEN is doing another monthly discussion series, this time focusing on women in visual artists, taking place at a Berlin residence on Sonnenallee tomorrow, April 16 from 8pm.

The collective, now in its second year, has been holding the discussion series on a weekly and bi-weekly basis since January 2014, and launched their bi-weekly Berlin Community Radio program HYSTEREO last summer. What started as a group of friends meeting to discuss theory and literature has since expanded to a 400-plus member group with a core team and an expanding program of projects, including political campaigns to help refugee women, creative literary and visual projects, and upcoming events.

The collective’s meetings take place bi-weekly, with one session a month dedicated to an open working group that tackles some of the political and creative projects and one session a month dedicated to a public discussion group on a chosen topic. April’s discussion group focuses on women (women-identified, non-binary) in visual arts.
