Artist Menna Cominetti is presenting a one-night-only exhibition at Lima Zulu this weekend, titled Woozee and running on February 6 from 7-9pm.
Aside from the promotional image attached, little is know about the latest exhibition from the London-based painter. But judging from her past work, the show will convey the particular brand of post-internet classicism that landed her on Dazed’s list of best new ‘female-fronted’ shows, and that had her participating in the Bloomberg New Contemporaries show at the ICA, as well as the publication launch of Jupiter Woods‘ PaperWork Magazine Issue II.
Using a classical sculptural (and at times almost minimal) approach, Cominetti’s installations have a way of arresting the viewer, though it might not be at first clear why.
