Artist Laura Aldridge is opening up a new solo at Glasgow’s Tramway art space, titled California wow! and running January 29 to March 22. Admission free.
For the show, Aldridge has designed a new installation to be displayed in Tramway’s main gallery. The piece draws from a variety of mediums, including textile, print, sculpture and ceramics, exploring the relationship between art, craft, and performance, reflecting the interdisciplinary style the artist has carried through her work.
The installation, described as a “vivid and tactile environment” is made up of or “inhabited by a variety of ‘display-scapes”. The viewer is invited to interact with the exhibition in various ways, transforming the exhibition into a site for collaboration and discussion about craft and contemporary art.
See the FB exhibition page for details. **
