Mathew Gallery is hosting fashion-meet-art exhibition Bouvier’s Bedroom at its West Berlin location from August 14 to September 29.
The Berlin gallery has teamed up with curator Matthew Linde of Australian avant-garde fashion collective Center for Style (Highlights) to transform the art space into the “dilapitated walk-in wardrobe of a fictional aged socialite”.
The hangers of the fictional Ms. Bouvier will be filled with a selection of eight modern Australian labels, including the nomadic unisex label and collaborative art project ffiXXed and the gender-bending, post-apocalyptic romance of Eckhaus Latta. Other labels to join the line-up are H.B. Peace, Laura Fanning, Rare Candy, Jesse Kiely, Martine Rose and Nhu Duong.
Today’s opening night performance will be with artist Anna-Sophie Berger and Matthew Linde.
