Artist Ed Atkins will host an event at Serpentine Galleries on July 11 as part his solo exhibition at the space, which runs as part of the annual Park Nights series.
This comes as part of Atkins’ biggest solo exhibition in a UK public institution. Throughout the evening, Atkins will recite texts, songs, sounds, and feelings, centered around an augmented version of his new multi-screen video work Ribbons (2014), which will celebrate its UK premiere at Serpentine Sackler Gallery.
Atkins’ event continues the Park Nights series, an annual series of live art, film, poetry, literature, music, theory and performance organized by Serpentine Galleries, and running between June 27 and October 3 of this year. Select Friday evenings are dedicated to the eight events that comprise Park Nights, which will take over the unique Serpentine Pavilion 2014, designed by Chilean architect Smiljan Radić.
