French-Canadian feminist art and culture journal .dpi is calling for submissions for their ‘Cyber Surveillance’ with guest editor Dr Kate Milberry.

For anyone banking on the internet becoming the utopian free-for-all it might have been, they’d be running at quite a heavy loss considering the shadow of persistently patriarchal reproductions that now colonise the online.

A post-gender paradise the internet isn’t, and the journal is looking for pieces exploring the informatization of the body” and its potential for liberation become a prison of cyber-surveillance producing “new vulnerabilities for women, girls and transgender and genderqueer people online”.
