London gallery Arcadia Missa is welcoming a new year of exhibitions with the Eloïse Bonneviot-led group exhibition, The Meditative Relaxation Cycle, running January 31 to February 15.
Featuring 11 artists, including Ilja Karilampi, Aude Pariset, Juliette Bonneviot, the FourfiveX collective and others, the show explores the influence of our tools, –iPads and tablets specifically –in mediating perception while commodifying ‘natural’ states. Each artist was invited to contribute six digital sketches, performed in a contemporary re-appropriation of Surrealist Automatism and drawing on its essential elements of “meditation, drawing, and the artist’s ‘hand'”.
Read a recent interview with contributor Martin Kohout and see the Arcadia Missa website for details. **

It is only through the dedication and generosity of everyone involved that AQNB manages to continue. More than ever we need to build a resilient space for independent media, one that works in collaboration with its artists, administrators, and audiences. Not everyone can afford to give donations we know - but if you can spare $1 a month, you like what AQNB is about and want to secure this space for the future, then please lend a hand and sign up. Thank u so much! <3
