In exactly 17 days and 3 hours the summer youtube competition “Life in a day” and Ridley Scott & Kevin Macdonald project will be streamed from this year’s Sundance Festival, and it will premiere on-line while broadcasted from the indie event…

Apparently Mr Scott & Mr Macdonald and a rather large number of editors have “whittled down over 80k videos” into the 90min documentary that will be streamed on January 27th.

The  main teaser taken from “Slim up” seems to have pleased Kevin Macdonald quite a lot and Toniu Xou y Patricia Martínez del Hoyo (behind the short) and their daughter of course have been invited to the festival premiere (only 20 videos from the 137 selected videos for the short have been invited). And while you can wait slightly more than 2 weeks for the premiere, you can also go and start watching most of the videos here.

We haven’t seen them all of course, but here are a few of our own choice… our only critic…. too many U.S. selected videos, and that’s not really representing a single day on earth is it?
