Nissan Leaf iAd

Now what do we have here? Nissan’s first iAd! And is not one of those fugly admob or Google-served ads for Android. So for once I’m going to stick up for Apple’s advertising platform. Their user-friendly experience is demonstrated once again (even with highly sexiness) for something as intrusive and bothering as an app add…. The iAd platform was announced in early June although completely unveiled together with the iPhone 4 last July… and even though we knew the most important brands worldwide had already signed for $$$$ deals & commitments (they said over $60M for 2010) we couldn’t really visualize & imagine the potential of the platform. We thought it would be just crappy text ads & banners Google-style.

Oh boy,  we were wrong… when Nissan released their add for the iPhone last July we couldn’t believe our eyes…. so visually impressive, so engaging… an app inside an app! (ok you have to click first but….). Now, we wonder how is Google & Android going to react coss so far their app ads are so…….., so…… minimalistic…..
