Shure hits back with their successful in-ear buds updating their SE 420 & 530 versions. They might not look as sleek & fine as the Sleek Audio’s 7 headphones we saw a couple of months ago but they’ve introduced some (very needful) improvements…

For all these years audiophiles & music lovers who possessed the SE500 or SE530 (us included) always critized the American company for not having a detachable & replaceable wire. We had them for a year & a half and oops when ours started malfunctioning we got stuck: no more warranty, no possibility of replacing the wire. Big bohooo.

However we’ve had the best isolating earbud experience so-far with these expensive ($500) earphones.  Anything new from them?

Not really, announced last January at CES the new line-up of 5s barely introduce a new “clear” flavour & the traditional bronze one. Their Triple High-Definition MicroDrivers system will very probably stay untouched so you can expect the same sound experience and also the end bit of the cable is moldeable  to form the cable around your ear.

They’ll be available later this year (like the SA 7s) so if you’re waiting (like us) for a new couple of in-ear machines and you have what it takes (£££$$$€€€) (also wait for the reviews, might worth buying some Earsonics or Westone) then go for it!
