Metal Dance

news

2011 was a year of remixes, 2012 will be even more. Strut Records (the label now owned by !K7 and once behind some of the best dance music packages from the last decade) announced over a month ago (shame on us) the release of a collaboration with one big man: Trevor Jackson.

No need to introduce one of the best Brit DJs of all time (man behind Playgroup and founder of Output Recordings…), and when he came to Strut with the idea of collecting some of his favorite rarities from the under-explored world of 80s industrial & post-punk dance floor material… well… who can resist to such proposal?

The two-disc collection covers recognized masters such as Cabaret Voltaire & Nitzer Ebb … but many other new names for many of us. “If the term EBM (Electronic Body Music, coined by Kraftwerk’s Ralf Hütter) means anything to you, you’re in for a treat. If not, there’s a world waiting to be discovered…“.

Metal Dance will be released next month (Feb 20th)… for now here’s a free mini-mix download for everyone’s pleasure.
