Cube Prize 2012

, 21 December 2011

The 5th edition of Le Cube Festival (you know… the digital arts festival organised by “Le Cube“…  the previous must-visit Parisian digi-centre  before La Gaite arrived last year and blew everything up..), will be taking place later on next year… but we’ll talk extensively about that next summer.

This 5th edition however will include “The Cube Prize” for the first time to award the best creation in digital art by a young artist under age 35… 10.000€ that given our bombastic times, it will surely be appreciated by many artists.

A great opportunity for emerging digital artists to showcase their talent. There will be 5 categories: interactivity, generativity, network, internet, mobility… but only one prize (boooo). These works must be “innovative installations or devices that explore the specific characteristics of digital techniques in art” (with the exception of live shows, video art or photographic art… which are not accepted).

The 5 selected pieces will then be exhibited to the public during the Le Cube Festival 2012 and the 10K flamboyant winner will be announced during the festival.

The submission period is open until 31st of January and pretty much anyone under 35 can apply with a work from the past 2 years, individuals or collectives… and all you need to do is prepare a little presentation of yourselves besides the file itself. More info this way, good luck!
