Henry the heart boy

We wouldn’t know what to do with this character. Would believe his creator Ken Turner if he had named it Vincent, just like believing Mr Burton is somehow his most admired director.

But we don’t know that, what we know is that despite the obvious comparisons the idea of illustrating a story book about a boy who has taken the phrase “wearing your heart on your sleeve” quite literal, is … darkly delightful.

It could be a Poe or even a Kafka’s hidden short story, but it turns out to be by Ken Turner himself. This time the project is not up on Kickstarter (for a change) but on the “other” platform (which we just realised integrated the timeframe element they didn’t have before). Henry the heart boy will try to become a 1000 copy edition and will become Ken’s 5th book in the last 3 years.

The project still has more than 80 days left, but an awful lot of money is needed too (5000$ more), so, you know… if you have a few spare $$, €€ or whichever currency and like the dark watercolors, maybe you should think about supporting him.
